    Care

Rhodolite is a “hybrid” garnet — a natural blend of pyrope and almandine.

Its raspberry-pink to purplish hue comes from the balance of iron and magnesium in its structure.

In essence, nature blends two garnet recipes to achieve a vivid, rose‑petal‑like shade.

It was first described in 1898 by American mineralogists, following a discovery in North Carolina.

It was named from the Greek rhodon, “rose” — after the rhododendrons that bloomed in that region.

It’s a gem with a modern discovery story, not a royal pedigree — and all the more authentic because of it.

Its color ranges from raspberry‑pink to red‑purple, brighter and more vibrant than dark Bohemian garnet. Most specimens today come from Tanzania, Mozambique, and Sri Lanka.

Like all garnets, it’s associated with energy, passion, and inspiration — making rhodolite an elegant, feminine choice.

With a hardness of 7–7.5, it stands up well to everyday wear, requiring only moderate care.

It cleans easily with a soft cloth. This romantic tone is beautifully highlighted in 925 silver and rose gold.
