FAQ
What types of chains can I find at Indira?
You'll find classic chain weaves: Figaro, Singapore, Diamond Cut, Beaded (with beads), Cube and Spiral. Each has its own personality — from slim and understated to textured and statement — perfect worn solo or as the base for a pendant.
What chain length should I choose?
Common lengths range from around 40 cm (close to the neck) to 50 cm (classic length) and beyond. A 40–45 cm chain sits nicely below the collar, while longer ones make layering easy. Some styles also offer multiple length options.
What are the chains made of?
Most are made of 925 silver (92,5% pure silver) and 925 silver plated with 14K gold. For heirloom-worthy pieces, we also offer chains in solid 14K gold. The plating is a layer of approximately 2 microns of 14K gold applied over silver.
Can I wear a pendant on these chains?
Yes, slim, classic chains are the ideal base for a pendant. Choose a simple weave like Singapore or Diamond Cut if you want the pendant to take center stage, or a Beaded chain if you prefer the chain itself to be decorative.
Does silver tarnish? How do I clean it?
Silver oxidation is a natural process when exposed to air and skin. It cleans up easily with a special silver cloth. Storing it in a dry place, away from moisture and cosmetics, slows the process and keeps the shine.
Can I wear multiple chains together?
Yes, layering multiple chains of different lengths is a modern way to wear them. Pair a short chain with a longer one, mix silver with gold-plated, or add a pendant to one of them for a personalized effect.
