FAQ
What are screw-back earrings and why choose them?
Screw-back earrings have a threaded closure that screws on behind the ear, unlike the classic butterfly back. The result is a secure hold that won’t come undone accidentally — which is why they’re preferred for everyday wear, for gifting, and by those who have lost earrings with standard backs in the past.
Are they suitable for sensitive ears?
Yes. Our screw-back earrings are crafted in 925 Sterling Silver (92,5% silver), a skin-friendly material, also available plated with 14K gold. We don’t use nickel as a base metal and we don’t offer titanium. If you have very sensitive ears, we recommend plain sterling silver or solid gold options.
What designs and stones can I find?
The range spans from minimalist studs (beads, hearts, geometric shapes) to styles with moonstone (Keira, Tessa), with natural pearls (Classic Pearl, Lydia, Double Pearl), with rose quartz or turquoise. That way you have options for every day and for special occasions, at accessible prices.
How do you put screw-back earrings on correctly?
Pass the post through the ear, then gently screw the nut on at the back clockwise until it feels secure — without over-tightening. To remove, unscrew counterclockwise. The motion becomes second nature after the first few wears, and the secure fastening is worth the small habit.
Are they a good first pair for a child or as a gift?
Yes, they’re a popular choice precisely because they don’t fall off easily. Small silver or gold-plated stud styles are discreet and comfortable. Each pair comes with a warranty certificate and in packaging that’s perfect for gifting.
How do I care for them so they last?
Wipe the earrings with a soft cloth after wearing and store them in a dry place. For gold-plated styles, avoid perfume, water, and heavy friction — plating wears over time, which is normal. For moonstone and pearls, avoid contact with chemicals, which can affect their surface.
